FINBOURNE launches Forward Deployed Engineering programme

26 Aug 2026 News

London, 26 August 2026 – FINBOURNE Technology, the investment data platform, today launched its Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) programme, which pairs engineers working inside client teams with platform tooling and AI to build production solutions at speed. The programme launches with an initial team of 30 engineers with deep investment management experience, and the first client engagements are already under way.

FINBOURNE’s Forward Deployed Engineers will work as an extension of a client’s own team, sitting inside the organisation alongside operational and technology staff. This model is designed to help companies deploy solutions to real-world problems at speed: connecting legacy systems and fragmented data silos; embedding governance, audit and controls directly into the architecture; and uncovering and delivering agentic AI solutions across the trading lifecycle. Target first go-live is three to six months, against the multi-year pattern of sequential handovers between separate teams.

That speed comes from configuration rather than construction. Engineers connect client source systems to a platform that already exists instead of writing new integration code, and AI coding tools compress the work that remains. The platform’s native reconciliation engine then proves every migrated record against its source, and continues running as a live control once the client is in production. Agents built on Candela, FINBOURNE’s agentic AI layer, handle data quality rules and operational workflows.

The programme is led by Evelyn Lynch, who joined FINBOURNE as Head of Forward Deployed Engineering in July 2026 after 19 years at Confluence Technologies, latterly as Vice President of Professional Services, running new client implementations across its product range.

“This is an exciting time to join FINBOURNE,” said Evelyn Lynch, Head of Forward Deployed Engineering at FINBOURNE Technology. “The platform’s ability to rapidly integrate data, combined with its reconciliation and agentic AI capabilities, gives us an unrivalled ability to solve customers’ real-world problems. This new programme is about unlocking that potential at speed by pairing our tooling and AI capabilities with our FDEs’ deep domain knowledge, so customers get solutions that fit how their business works.”

“Our clients’ hardest problems are specific to them, and they are also where we learn most about our own platform,” said Elliot Hurdiss, Chief Technology Officer at FINBOURNE Technology. “Our FDEs understand our clients’ operations as well as they understand our platform. And what we learn solving for one client makes the platform better for all of them.”

About FINBOURNE

FINBOURNE Technology provides the data foundation for asset managers, asset owners and asset servicers, who use our enterprise data automation, investment management and fund servicing solutions alongside their existing systems or as the platform they run on. A single transaction record with dual time series removes the duplication that creates reconciliation overhead and gives complete look-through across entities, fund structures and managers. Because everything is exposed as governed, API-first services, teams and AI agents work from the same trusted data.
