AFME and the IA have reached a significant agreement on a proposal for future UK post-trade transparency model for corporate and sovereign bonds. The joint proposal was informed and supported by extensive analysis of existing post-trade data, provided by FINBOURNE Technology, which was instrumental in the process of establishing the proposal.

On 20th December 2023, the FCA published a Policy Statement for the framework for a UK consolidated tape (“CT” or “CTP”) 

While the Policy Statement (“PS”) was expected, the further consultation was not and there were some aspects that we believe are worth highlighting.

The Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) and FINBOURNE Technology have today published the second in a series of new reports, which analyses EU sovereign and public bond trading data consolidated from numerous sources for the period of March to December 2021. FINBOURNE Technology has joined the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets’ (AFM) regulatory sandbox, to drive the creation of a Consolidated Tape Provider (CTP).

In our recent views shared on Consolidated Tape (‘CT’), the issue of data quality was highlighted as central to the CT debate. Some may argue it is even hampering the development of a Consolidated Tape Provider (CTP) in the UK and the EU.
